Comprehensive group training program exclusively for beginners. Friendly atmosphere, knowledgeable certified instructors with over 25 years teaching experience. Safe inland waters with mild on-shore winds, stable boards, small training sails with life preserver (PDF) and warm wetsuits provided.
California Windsurfing makes the learning experience fun and easy even if you are not athletic! Students use stable windsurf boards with small training sails. Fast learners can quickly advance to large sails if appropriate.
Our instructors accompany classes on the water to closely observe and provide more individualized attention where needed.
All students will receive an internationally recognized certification card and local California Windsurfing preferred customer status.
All students must know how to swim, be able to safely lift 35 pounds, complete the registration safety form and be 18 years of age or older to enroll in the class. Mature individuals 16 years of age and older may participate in classes, provided they are dropped off by a parent or guardian who can sign the registration/waive agreement on the minor’s behalf. For individuals under 16, the parent or guardian must speak with a California Windsurfing representative to mutually determine if the student can safely participate in the desired program.
Lesson Cost: $375 per student
Registration for class requires a non-refundable deposit of $100 for each student reserving a space in class. Full payment in CASH is required prior to beginning of the lesson.

Sorry, no checks or credit cards or $100 bills can be accepted at our waterside location.
To keep our rates as low as possible California Windsurfing has elected to remain a cash only facility. We know this can be inconvenient. However, Our customer survey indicated that lower rates are highly preferred over convenience credit card acceptance.
Identification and Security Requirements
California Windsurfing requires a valid US Driver’s License (Showing the individual is at least 18 years of age) or a valid Passport (Showing the holder is at least 21 years of age) to be held as security during the rental period. California Windsurfing will retain the License or Passport until all watercraft and associated equipment is returned undamaged and rental fees fully paid.
Students/Renters/Passenger of Windsurfers, Kayaks and Stand Up Paddle Boards must must be 18 years of age, or accompanied by a parent or legal guardian, know how to swim, complete and sign California Windsurfing’s waiver agreement, acknowledge they understand and agree to be bound by its terms and conditions.

12:30 pm to 6:30 pm Tuesday through Friday.
11:30 am to 6:30 pm Saturday & Sunday.
Last Rental Out: 6:00 pm to be retuned by 6:30pm
